DemandSphere alternatives in 2026: when the shared keyword budget gets tight

DemandSphere counts one LLM prompt as ten keywords and puts crawler logs in an Enterprise add-on. Five alternatives, ranked, for teams where AI search is the main job.

DemandSphere DemandMetrics GenAI comes from a search analytics company that its llms.txt says was founded in Tokyo in 2009, and the SERP side shows that history: pixel depth, SERP Rewind, 65+ SERP feature types. LLM tracking was folded into the same daily budget, with unlimited users, unlimited domains and API access from the entry plan. Chat Rewind lets you replay past AI answers. For an agency juggling many client domains, that is a strong package.

It is a weaker fit for teams where AI answers are the main event.

Where DemandSphere pinches

The first issue is the exchange rate. Starter gives a daily budget of 1,000 keywords, and one prompt costs ten of them. Tracking 100 prompts uses the whole budget and leaves nothing for SERP keywords. Pro raises that to 2,500 keywords or 250 prompts. Anyone who wants serious SERP tracking and serious prompt tracking at once ends up on the bigger plan quickly.

The headline price assumes annual billing. Starter is $79 a month billed annually ($948 a year) or $95 monthly; Pro is $208 or $250. When we checked on 14 October 2026, every Get Started button on the pricing page led to a demo request form.

Crawler logs exist, through Analytics AX, but that is an Enterprise add-on billed for storage, with hot storage at $0.40 per GB for the most recent 30 days. The engine count also depends on which page you read: five on the plan cards, six in a tooltip that adds Copilot, and "10+" on the product page. Budget on the five or six that are named.

The alternatives, ranked

1. Promptwatch

If AI visibility is the job and SERPs come second, Promptwatch reverses DemandSphere's priorities. Prompts don't draw down a shared keyword pool, and each one carries its own search volume, difficulty score and query fan-outs. Essential is $95 a month on monthly billing for 50 prompts and 6,000 responses. Professional at $245 adds 25M AI crawler logs, the capability DemandSphere keeps in an Enterprise add-on. Essential has no crawler-log allowance, so plan on Professional if logs are the reason you're switching.

Visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions, citation analytics goes down to page, Reddit and YouTube level, and Google Search Console and Looker Studio integrations cover the SEO reporting side. Agencies get unlimited projects and prompts from Agency Kick-off at $199 a month, with 10 seats.

DemandSphere keeps the edge on SERP depth and unlimited seats.

2. Quattr AI Visibility

Quattr is the closest like-for-like for an enterprise SEO team. Tracked prompts run daily by default in ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, scored per engine, and AI Overviews inclusion comes from its market share data. It joins all of this with Search Console, GA4 or Adobe, Google Ads and server logs. With logs connected, it reports GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot activity. There are no public prices; the pricing page is a demo form that includes a free trial.

3. SEOmonitor

SEOmonitor handles prompts differently. It turns each tracked keyword into one natural question and weights the results by Google search volume. Every account gets daily AI Overview detection. The AI Search add-on, available on Pro and above, covers ChatGPT, Gemini (AI Mode), Perplexity and Claude on a weekly update, at €19 per 1,000 credits a month. We couldn't verify the base plan prices because the pricing page returned a browser check.

4. Keyword.com AI Visibility

Keyword.com is the lightweight route. Its 360° Visibility plan bundles Google rank tracking with AI credits from $33 a month, and the standalone AI module starts at $9.80 for 20 credits. The docs list six engines, and every plan has unlimited users and projects, an API and an MCP server. Credits reset monthly and don't roll over.

5. Semrush AI Toolkit

Semrush AI Toolkit makes sense for teams that already live in Semrush. It costs $99 a month per domain for five engines, 25 prompts and one user. Extra domains and extra users are $99 each, and 50 more prompts cost $60, so agency bills climb fast.

Who should pick which

Keep DemandSphere if SERP analytics is the core purchase and a modest set of AI prompts on the same bill is enough. Move to Quattr if you're an enterprise team that wants AI data joined to your own analytics and logs and you're comfortable buying through sales. SEOmonitor and Keyword.com fit agencies that want AI reported against an existing keyword set at low cost.

Pick Promptwatch if AI search is the channel you're trying to grow. The deciding factor is usually crawler logs and AI-referred conversions, which arrive in a self-serve plan at $245 a month rather than an Enterprise add-on with storage fees.

FAQ

Does DemandSphere track AI crawlers?

Yes, through Analytics AX, which is an Enterprise add-on billed for storage. Starter and Pro don't include it.

Which alternative is strongest on SERP tracking?

Of the tools here, Quattr and SEOmonitor are the SEO-first platforms. Promptwatch is an AI visibility platform and is best paired with a SERP tracker if you need one.

Can I buy DemandSphere without a demo?

The pricing page shows plan prices, but every call to action we found led to the demo request form.
