GeoGen vs Chooj (2026): Two Low Countries trackers under 50 EUR a month

GeoGen starts at 20 EUR/mo billed yearly with daily checks on models you pick. Chooj is 49 EUR/mo excl. VAT for 10 Dutch prompts. A buyer's guide, with Promptwatch as the step up.

GeoGen is a Belgian, credit-based tracker that lets you pick which AI models to watch and runs your prompts daily in many regions and languages. Chooj is a Dutch tracker from an SEO agency that asks ten questions a day in Dutch and records exactly how the engines describe you. GeoGen is the broader tool. Chooj is the simpler one, and it is still early.

Both are cheap, so the real comparison is what you can trust from each page before signing up. We read GeoGen's pricing page and llms.txt on 20 October 2026. Chooj figures come from our catalog entry, based on chooj.nl as reviewed on 12 September 2026 (Chooj has no separate pricing page).

How GeoGen works

You choose models per plan, from 2 on Micro to 7 on Pro, and GeoGen runs your prompts daily. It reports reach, share of voice and citation rate, mention insights per prompt, the domains and pages AI cites, competitor rankings and sentiment. Prompts can be set per region and language (the site says 30+ languages), and every plan includes unlimited countries, languages and tags. Workspaces can be shared with granular permissions.

Plans, billed yearly: Micro 20 EUR a month (1 entity, 2 models, 10 prompts, 7,440 credits a year, 1 seat). Standard 60 EUR (2 entities, 4 models, 50 prompts, 2 seats). Growth 199 EUR (5 entities, 6 models, 150 prompts, 10 seats). Pro 399 EUR (15 entities, 7 models, 300 prompts, 10 seats). Custom on request.

Questions for GeoGen before you buy:

  • What are the monthly prices? The page has a monthly toggle and says yearly saves 20%, but the monthly amounts are not in the page text.
  • What does one credit buy, and what are the model weights? The site mentions a calculator but not the unit cost.
  • Is crawler tracking live? The homepage describes edge and CMS integrations for it, while llms.txt files the same thing under "Coming Soon".
  • Which plan names are current? llms.txt still lists Lite, Pro and Enterprise.

The social proof is thin too. The three testimonials have names and job titles but no companies, and the "trusted by" strip shows the same logo eight times. The fetched pages do not name the founders.

How Chooj works

Chooj asks your ten most important questions every day and records whether your company is named, in which position, with what sentiment and in what exact wording. It also shows share of voice over 30 days against the competitors the engines name. Prompts are in Dutch for the Dutch market. First results appear after about two minutes, with no sales call.

The wording is the useful part: knowing one engine calls you a budget option and another calls you the specialist beats a mention count.

Chooj comes from SEOBOB, a Dutch SEO agency, and is bundled into its Partnerschap package. Stand-alone, the page states 49 EUR a month in the header and FAQ, while a spec card lower down shows 29 EUR. The header lists four models. The FAQ says only ChatGPT and Gemini are tracked daily today, with others to follow. The testimonial and customer-logo blocks were placeholders when we reviewed it. There is no API, no content generation and no publishing.

Who should pick which

Pick GeoGen if you want daily checks on a handful of models in several countries or languages at a low yearly price, and you are willing to test the credit math during setup. Standard at 60 EUR a month with 4 models and 50 prompts is the plan that gives a usable sample.

Pick Chooj if you are a Dutch freelancer or small business, a SEOBOB client, or both, and you just want to know daily whether ChatGPT and Gemini mention you in Dutch and how they phrase it. Confirm the price at checkout.

The Promptwatch option

Both tools answer "are we mentioned?" Neither gives you a published view of why. Promptwatch, founded in Amsterdam in April 2025, covers that next step. Citation analytics shows which pages, domains, Reddit threads and YouTube videos the models cite for your prompts. Prompt tracking adds search volumes, difficulty scores and query fan-outs, so you track the questions people actually ask. On Professional, Agent Analytics logs AI crawler visits from ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others, and visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions.

Prices are public in USD and EUR. Essential is $95 a month for 50 prompts across all tracked LLMs, with daily refresh and country-level tracking. Professional is $245 for 150 prompts, 25M crawler logs and 15 AEO articles that Content Agents publish to Webflow, Framer or WordPress.

Verdict

GeoGen is the more capable tool, with daily runs, a model menu and unlimited regions at a very low entry price, though its credits and crawler tracking are unclear. Chooj is a narrow Dutch tracker that still has to fill in its own page. For a Benelux brand that needs more than a mention count, start with Promptwatch Essential, and move to Professional once you want crawler logs.
