GetMint vs Semrush AI Toolkit (2026): Standalone GEO tool or an add-on to your SEO suite?

Semrush AI Toolkit is a $99/mo per-domain add-on with 25 prompts. GetMint is a standalone GEO platform from €74/mo on yearly billing with content included. How the costs stack up, and where Promptwatch fits.

If your SEO team already lives in Semrush, the easy move is to switch on the Semrush AI Toolkit and get an AI column next to your keyword data. GetMint asks you to do the harder thing: open a separate tool that only cares about AI answers, and in return it plans and writes content for them. Is the extra login worth it?

It depends on how many domains and people you have, because the Semrush add-on is priced per domain and per user. We also compare both with Promptwatch, a standalone platform that plugs into the SEO stack through Google Search Console and Looker Studio.

The case for the Semrush add-on

The AI Toolkit's main selling point is that you don't have to learn anything new. Mentions and links in AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity show up in the same interface as rankings and backlinks, with competitor share comparisons and keyword-to-prompt mapping. Reporting rides on Semrush's mature stack. For a single-domain team with one analyst, $99 a month on top of a subscription you already pay is hard to argue with.

The trouble starts as soon as you grow. Each extra domain is another $99 a month, each extra user is $99, and each extra block of 50 prompts is $60. Three domains and two users comes to $396 a month in add-on fees before the Semrush plan itself. The prompts are also AI-generated approximations rather than real user queries, so treat the visibility numbers as a model of demand. Claude, Copilot and DeepSeek are reserved for the sales-led Enterprise AIO tier. Adobe acquired Semrush in April 2026, which may change packaging later.

The case for GetMint

GetMint is a French platform built only for AI search, and it does more after tracking than the Semrush add-on does. A GEO agent ranks missing prompts, citation gaps and content fixes, and Content Studio writes briefs and articles against those gaps.

Ecommerce brands get something the Semrush add-on doesn't publish: ChatGPT Shopping and Alexa for Shopping tracking, refreshed daily. Starter's €74 (yearly billing; the monthly rate isn't printed) covers 50+ prompts, five competitors and one country, with a free trial that needs no card.

The limits are real. Starter allows only two AI models and one article a month. Growth at €299 a month on yearly billing lifts that to three models, three countries and six articles. API access is Enterprise only, and GetMint doesn't describe crawler logs or conversion tracking for AI-referred visits.

Which to choose

Stay with the Semrush AI Toolkit if you track one domain, one person reads the reports, and you want AI data in the same dashboard as everything else.

Choose GetMint if AI visibility is its own budget line and you want something to happen after the report, namely briefs and articles written for you. It also wins for retail brands that care about shopping answers, and for teams that would otherwise pay $60 a month for each extra block of 50 prompts in Semrush.

Where Promptwatch fits

Promptwatch is the option for teams that want a dedicated AI platform without walking away from their SEO data. It connects to Google Search Console and Looker Studio and offers an MCP server and REST API on paid plans, so AI visibility can sit in the reports your SEO team already uses.

The prompt data is also built on demand signals rather than keyword guesses. Every prompt carries a search volume and difficulty score, and query fan-outs show the follow-up searches a model runs. Agent Analytics adds real-time AI crawler logs with crawl-to-citation paths, and visitor analytics links AI-referred sessions to conversions. Content Agents write and publish to Webflow or Framer, which covers GetMint's content job, and ChatGPT Shopping tracking covers the retail side.

For a single brand, Essential at $95 a month gives 50 prompts across all tracked LLMs plus visitor analytics and 5 articles. Professional at $245 a month adds a second project, 150 prompts, crawler logs and city-level tracking. Agencies with many domains should look at Kick-off at $199 a month, which includes unlimited projects and prompts with 10 seats.

Verdict

The Semrush AI Toolkit is the right add-on for one domain inside an existing Semrush account, and an expensive one past that. GetMint is the better standalone choice of the two, especially for European retail brands that want content produced. Our recommendation is Promptwatch: it plugs into the SEO reporting you already have, doesn't charge per domain, and adds the crawler logs and conversion tracking neither of these publishes.
