Is Ansvisor Worth It?

Ansvisor.com sells GEO software: prompts, citations, a traffic snippet, a $49 cloud. The Starter engines are two. Self-host is MIT, not free logs. Sheet from 29 August 2026.

Ansvisor is GEO software in the sense this directory uses the phrase: prompts, citations, share of voice, a shopping module, an audit, and Agent Chat. It is also a GitHub repo, MIT licensed, from Empler AI Inc., dated 2026, and a cloud at $49, $249, and custom from $999. Software buyers keep reading "$49" as "full AI visibility," and that reading is wrong. The Starter card is ChatGPT and Perplexity, 50 prompts, and one brand. Two engines, fifty prompts, one brand is a specific shape, not the whole category.

Promptwatch is the GEO stack we rank for crawler logs, citation depth, and conversions. Worth it for Ansvisor is a repo-versus-cloud question first, then an engine question, and the two questions have different answers.

What the vendor actually ships

Co-founders are Gokhan Geyik and Cihan Geyik. The launch is stated as 15 May 2026 on the AI traffic page. The README platforms list ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, and ChatGPT Shopping. The Cloud Starter does not sell that list, and that gap between README and cloud card is the first thing to notice. Growth adds the Google and Gemini family engines on the card, still not Grok, and Claude is a FAQ and Enterprise-table fight rather than a Starter line.

AI Traffic Analytics wants a tracking snippet. It talks crawler behavior, referrals, and conversion paths. We will not write that as Promptwatch Agent Analytics, because Agent Analytics is CDN logs and crawl-to-citation, and a snippet is a snippet. The two are different instruments, and conflating them is the kind of move that turns a vendor page into a false comparison.

The site audit covers 47 weighted signals across Structure, Content, Authority, E-E-A-T, and Trust, per the llms.txt. Content briefs run 10 per month on Starter and 50 on Growth, with unlimited Agent Chat articles on the cards. MCP is on the Starter card, and the README says two MCP tools are live.

Self-host takes Node 20, Yarn, Supabase, an AI provider, and Cloro, with IS_CLOUD=false and no Stripe. BYO LLM keys are unchecked on the README, which is a gap to flag, not a feature to assume. The homepage claims 50-plus contributors, and GitHub shows 102 stars on 29 August 2026. The changelog URL in the llms.txt still names aeohub/ansvisor, which is a naming detail worth knowing if you fork.

The cloud ladder and the copy fights

Fetched 29 August 2026. Starter is $49: 1 brand, 50 prompts, 100 audits, 10 briefs, ChatGPT and Perplexity, daily, "All Features," and unlimited users. Growth is $249: 4 brands, 200 prompts, 500 audits, 50 briefs, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, Overviews, Looker, and white-label. Enterprise is from $999: custom, SSO, and Claude on the compare grid. The response-analyze column runs 1,000, 4,500, and 18,000.

There is a 14-day trial of "Pro or Growth" on the homepage. There is no Pro plan. The FAQ says Starter or Growth. The table says 7-day demo, 1 seat. The FAQ says Lite versus Enterprise, and that more than 4 teammates might need Enterprise. The cards say unlimited users. Those four statements do not agree, and the disagreement is the copy fight to resolve before you sign. Stripe USD, and you cancel in the app Billing settings within 14 days.

The market stats on the homepage, 35% Branch, 22% Semrush, 4.3% index, and the 50x David Henricks quote, are vendor. They are not our GEO benchmark, and we do not put them in a comparison as if they were.

GEO software versus the $49 tile

GEO software has to survive a Monday dashboard: which engine, which prompt, which URL got cited, which bot hit the page, and whether the visit converted. Ansvisor names most of those jobs, and that is to its credit. The $49 tile only names two engines and fifty prompts, and that is the gap. Growth at $249 is the first card that looks like a multi-engine GEO seat. It still sits next to Promptwatch Professional at $245, which publishes 25M crawler logs, and the two $245-ish rows are not the same product.

Explore remains $0 for ten ChatGPT prompts. Essential at $95 already bundles citations and visitor events. Do not let Ansvisor's May 2026 vs Promptwatch page tell you Promptwatch has no trial. It does, and the page is wrong on that point.

Who should pay $49

Pay Starter if two engines are the experiment and you want a public repo behind the vendor, because the repo is a real differentiator and the price is real. Self-host if you have people who will babysit Cloro and Supabase, because the license is free and the operations are not.

Skip it as the GEO platform of record if you needed Grok on the price card, Claude without an FAQ argument, CDN crawler logs, or Reddit and YouTube citation views. That shopping list is still Promptwatch, and the list is the brief.

Ansvisor is worth the open-source look. The $49 cloud is not the whole GEO category, and treating it as such is how a team ends up with two engines when the brief named four.
