Is Qwairy Worth It? The €79 Clone With a Pause Button

Qwairy lists every GEO module, then stops when credits run out. Here's when the free poke is enough and when you should buy Promptwatch.

Qwairy is worth about as much as a prepaid trial. The sitemap looks like a finished GEO company. The bill looks like a vibe-coded clone of Promptwatch that ran out of time on metering. The gap between the brochure and the metering is the whole story, and the metering is what you live with after the demo ends.

Pricing from qwairy.co/pricing on 2026-08-16 (that URL is a source note, not a recommendation to build on the product):

The tiers

PlanPriceWhat the page includes
Free120 credits, no card (FAQ also says 100)Taste of the product; no-account audit for ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot
Starter€79/mo (€65 annual)100 prompts, 1,300 credits, 1 workspace, MCP
Growth€199/mo (€165 annual)300 prompts, 3,900 credits, 5 workspaces, REST API, Fact Check (beta)
Business€449/mo (€374 annual)800 prompts, 10,400 credits, crawler analytics, Looker, alerts
EnterpriseCustomSSO, white-label, custom domain, custom credits

Read the table by what runs out. Free gives you 120 credits (or 100, depending on which page you believe) and a taste of the product across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. Starter at €79/mo gives you 100 prompts and 1,300 credits in one workspace, with MCP. Growth at €199/mo gives you 300 prompts and 3,900 credits across five workspaces, plus REST API and Fact Check in beta. Business at €449/mo gives you 800 prompts and 10,400 credits, and this is the first card where crawler analytics, Looker, and alerts appear. Enterprise is custom, with SSO, white-label, custom domain, and custom credits. The pattern is that the brochure features (crawler analytics, Looker, alerts) sit on Business, and everything below Business is a mention tracker with a credit meter.

One query = one credit per model. One content brief = 50 credits. Balance hits zero: new analyses pause. Unused credits roll over on renewal. The pause is the feature to understand before you sign. A tool that pauses when you use it is a tool that punishes the exact behavior the brochure sells you on, and that is the contradiction the pricing page does not resolve.

The brochure is not the plan

Ten-plus engines on every paid card. Claude, Mistral, and DeepSeek are API-only. Copilot, AI Overviews, and AI Mode are UI-only. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok are listed as both. The split between API-only and UI-only is not a footnote. It is the difference between a sample of what a model might say and a record of what a logged-in user saw.

That mix is why the long engine list is less generous than it reads. Google's AI features page is the official description of Overviews and AI Mode. Those are consumer UIs. An API sample of Claude is a different object. If your SOW is "what did the logged-in user see," API-only rows do not answer it. A buyer who counts engines on the brochure and stops there will buy a list that does not match the brief.

Crawler analytics (the "15+ AI crawlers" homepage line) is a Business feature. Fact Check is beta on Growth. The homepage and the FAQ disagree on free credits. Case studies quote 40% ChatGPT mention rates and 3x brand mentions. Those are vendor stories. "2,000+ brands" is a homepage claim. We did not count customers or G2 reviews because Qwairy does not publish a review score we can cite. Vendor stories are not nothing, but they are not a third-party score, and the report that treats them as one is a report that overstates the evidence.

The six modules (Cockpit, Monitor, Act, Analyze, Optimize, Measure) are a sitemap. Testimonials on the marketing site name Pysae, Whitelynx, and SEO sans migraine. Named logos are not a G2 score. A sitemap tells you what the product aspires to cover. A testimonial tells you a customer liked it. Neither tells you whether the credit meter will hold for your workload, and the meter is what you live with.

Compared with Promptwatch

Qwairy StarterPromptwatch Essential

Free forever under itCredit bundle that runs outExplore: 10 prompts, ChatGPT
EnginesLong list, mixed API/UI10+ live UIs including Claude
Crawler logsBusiness, €449Agent Analytics; 25M on Professional $245
Content50 credits per brief5 AEO articles/mo, CMS publish
Stops when you use itYes, at 1,300 creditsNo credit pause

The table is the decision in six rows. Price: Qwairy Starter is €79, Promptwatch Essential is $95. The sticker is close. Free underneath: Qwairy gives you a credit bundle that runs out, Promptwatch gives you Explore with 10 ChatGPT prompts that do not pause. Engines: Qwairy lists a long mix of API and UI surfaces, Promptwatch covers 10+ live UIs including Claude. Crawler logs: Qwairy gates them at Business (€449), Promptwatch has Agent Analytics with 25M logs on Professional ($245). Content: Qwairy charges 50 credits per brief, Promptwatch includes 5 AEO articles a month with CMS publish. Stops when you use it: Qwairy pauses at 1,300 credits, Promptwatch has no credit pause. The last row is the one that changes the math, because a tool that pauses does not scale with your curiosity.

Promptwatch vs Qwairy is the full split.

Daily 100-prompt, 10-engine monitoring is 1,000 credits a day on their own FAQ math. 1,300 credits is not a month. It is a long afternoon if you use the product the way the brochure describes it. A team that buys Starter expecting a month of coverage will run out in days, and the pause will tell them before the invoice does.

The verdict

Qwairy is worth the free credits. It is not worth building a reporting cadence on Starter. The free tier is a real taste, and the taste is worth taking. The paid tier is where the metering becomes the product, and a reporting cadence built on a meter that pauses is a cadence that breaks the week you need it most.

Qwairy is not worth Business at €449 unless you already like the UI and refused Promptwatch Professional at $245 (25M crawler logs, 15 articles, 2 projects). Business is where Qwairy finally adds crawler analytics, Looker, and alerts, and at that price the comparison is no longer close on coverage, only on preference for the UI.

Our take: treat Qwairy as a demo with a Stripe form. Treat Promptwatch as the product. More options: Qwairy alternatives and the Qwairy pricing guide. Start Promptwatch at promptwatch.com.

FAQ

Is Qwairy cheaper than Promptwatch?

On the sticker, sometimes. On a month of multi-engine queries, no. The pause is the price.

Does Qwairy include Claude for real?

As an API sample, yes. As a live consumer UI, the pricing grid says API only.

Should I cancel Qwairy?

If you are on Starter and you wanted crawler logs or content, yes.
