Promptwatch vs Previsible 2026

Promptwatch is visibility software with public USD plans. Previsible is a San Francisco GEO agency with three quote-only models and no public rate. Side-by-side from 27 August 2026.

Software versus a services firm. Promptwatch sells a login: prompts, citation analytics, crawler logs, visitor conversions, Content Agents. Previsible sells people in San Francisco and Santiago: GEO, technical SEO, content, authority, on Contracted, Integrated, or Dedicated terms. Both use the word GEO. Only one has a checkout. The word overlap is the trap, because a buyer who reads "GEO" in both columns assumes the two products are interchangeable, and they are not.

The table is a category split, not a ranking. The category row is the one that decides the rest, because a platform and an agency answer different questions even when both say GEO.

Previsible without the SaaS costume

Contracted: project, no long-term required, discovery then phased delivery. Integrated: 12-month retainer, two-week sprints, GEO monitoring and CMS management listed, most popular badge, marketing orgs of 10 or less called out as a fit. Dedicated: multi-year, on-site personnel, enterprise MSA. FAQ prices those as per-project, 12-month-by-scope, and multi-year-by-personnel. Still no dollars. The three tiers are three scopes of labor, and the absence of dollars is the part that makes a price comparison impossible without a quote.

Founded April 2020 on the about FAQ. llms.txt still claims 2021 and previsible.io. 70 people, 10 countries (2026). IMN May 2025. Improove US November 2025. Partner program August 2024. Voices of Search June 2018, vendor 1.5 million downloads and top two percent globally. The founding date and the llms.txt date disagree, which is the kind of inconsistency a diligence read flags, and which is why we label the dates as vendor-stated.

Vendor cases we will repeat with a label: Atlassian 25% organic and 16% lead gen; Sage 150% leads, health 57% to 97% in eight months (Rob Hughes); Kindo 1,000% clicks / 625% impressions; Squaremouth 270% ChatGPT revenue in 6 months. $1.5 trillion public-client market cap is about-FAQ vendor copy. Client names include Zillow, Sage, Yelp, Atlassian, Coursera, KQED. We will not pick 85 versus 100-plus brands. The two brand counts on the same site are a census problem we leave to the vendor, because reconciling them is not our job and not the buyer's either.

GEO surfaces they name are real as a list. Methodology, prompt caps, and a monthly GEO fee are not on the site we fetched. That blank is the comparison. The blank is the part that makes a price answer a guess, and the part that makes a feature answer incomplete.

Promptwatch without the agency costume

Explore 10 ChatGPT prompts. Essential $95/mo (50 prompts, 6,000 responses, 200K visitor events, five AEO articles). Professional $245/mo (25M crawler logs). Business $579. Agency Growth $399, Scale $799. Annual: 12 months for the price of 10. Amsterdam, April 2025. No $29 plan. Customers they name: Duolingo, Yelp, Typeform, Rabobank, Monks, WPP. The public price list is the part that lets a buyer compare without a sales call, and the named customers are the part that lets a buyer check references.

Citation trends (page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, offsite) are the reporting layer an agency mention count does not replace. You can hire Previsible to ship pages in a sprint and still need Promptwatch to see which URL kept a citation, and whether the trend held after month two. That is the named feature we lean on in this matchup. The trend is what tells you whether the sprint worked, and the trend is the thing an agency report does not store.

Visitor conversions close the loop the Squaremouth FAQ percentage cannot. Content Agents are the write step if the CMS is already Webflow or Framer. Hire the agency for labor anyway. Do not ask them to be the CDN log connector. The CDN log connector is a software integration, and an agency does not sell software integrations.

How to buy without mixing units

Do not put "two-week sprints" next to "50 prompts." Do not treat a 12-month Integrated term as Explore. Do not convert vendor case percentages into a Promptwatch discount. Do not wait 30 to 60 days to turn measurement on. The four do-nots are the four ways a buyer mixes the two products, and each mix produces a number that means nothing.

If you need people, request a Previsible quote and keep Promptwatch running. If you need a platform and you do not want another vendor in Slack, skip the retainer until measurement exists. Contracted is the lighter agency ask if you only need a migration or a content burst. The two paths are not exclusive, and the version where both run is the version most multi-brand teams end up with.

AthenaHQ is a software alternative with a task queue, not an agency. Profound is Enterprise agents, not #1 here. Otterly.AI and Peec AI last.

FAQ

Which one is cheaper?

Promptwatch prices are public. Previsible GEO is quote-only. Anyone who answers this with a single dollar figure is guessing.

Can the agency replace Content Agents?

They can write and publish as humans. Content Agents push GEO drafts to Webflow or Framer from the same workspace as the prompts. Different motion.

Should a ranking table mix them?

Only with a category column. We do. Agency under software without that column is how directories get silly.
