VisiScan vs Ansvisor 2026

Open-source Ansvisor cloud versus a local named-rate scan. Both print $49. Only one is a monthly two-engine seat. Promptwatch in the grid.

GEO shopping that sorts by price will stack VisiScan $49 next to Ansvisor $49. One is a PDF. One is ChatGPT and Perplexity for a month. Promptwatch stays in the grid so nobody treats either as crawler-log software. A price sort is the worst way to shop this category, because the two $49s buy different shapes of work, and the shape matters more than the digit. A PDF is a deliverable you hand off. A month of prompts is a standing watch on two engines. Neither is the program a GEO team actually runs, which is why the third column exists.

Ansvisor Growth $249 sits next to Promptwatch Professional $245. That is the interesting row. Growth still publishes a snippet for traffic, not CDN crawl-to-citation. Professional publishes 25M crawler logs. The price match is the trap. Two plans with a two in front of the price, and one of them gives you a traffic snippet while the other gives you the fetch record. A snippet tells you a visitor came. A crawl-to-citation log tells you which crawler fetched which page and whether the fetch errored. The interesting row is interesting because it is where the price rhyme breaks down and the capability gap opens.

The local one-shot row is the VisiScan use case. You have one URL, you want one look, you want a PDF. Ansvisor does not sell that. Promptwatch does not sell that. A one-shot is a flashlight, and a flashlight is the right tool when the job is "tell me about this one page right now." It is the wrong tool when the job is "watch this brand over a quarter," and the row is honest about that.

The standing $49 cloud row is the Ansvisor use case. Starter is two engines, ChatGPT and Perplexity, for a month. VisiScan has no standing cloud at $49, because $49 on VisiScan is a one-time report. Promptwatch has no $49 SKU. A standing cloud is a subscription you log into every day, and the row separates the subscription from the document. The buyer who wants a daily habit buys Ansvisor Starter. The buyer who wants a document buys VisiScan. The buyer who wants a program buys Essential.

The open source row is the Ansvisor differentiator. Ansvisor is MIT. VisiScan is not. Promptwatch is not. Open source is the reason an engineering team stars the repo, because they can read the code, fork it, and run it. It is not a reason a marketing team picks a tool, because the marketing team will never read the code. The row matters for a specific buyer, and it is fine that it does not matter for the rest.

The four engines on cheap SKU row is where VisiScan wins on coverage. VisiScan has four engines even on the free scan, which is rare for a checker. Ansvisor Starter is two engines, so the cheap Ansvisor SKU is narrower. Promptwatch Essential is multi-engine, which is the program floor. Four engines on free is a generous snapshot. Two engines on a paid cloud is a narrow watch. Multi-engine on Essential is the program. The row reads as engine count, but it is really about what you get for the entry price.

The logs row is the one that puts Promptwatch in the grid. VisiScan has no logs. Ansvisor publishes a snippet. Promptwatch has Professional, which is the crawler-log tier. A snippet is a traffic signal. A log is a fetch record. The grid keeps Promptwatch in the picture so a shopper does not conclude that a PDF and a two-engine cloud are the ceiling of the category, because the ceiling is the log layer and neither cheap SKU has it.

The weekly cheap monitor row is the VisiScan cadence add-on. Monitor at $29 re-runs the scan weekly. Ansvisor has no $29 plan. Promptwatch has no $29 plan. The weekly monitor is a fine thing to run on a local URL you want to keep an eye on. It is not a Promptwatch seat, and the grid says so by leaving the other columns blank.

Ansvisor FAQ and cards still fight on Claude, Grok, Pro, Lite, and seat counts. VisiScan email copy fights the $49 report. Screenshot both. The internal fight on Ansvisor is about which engines and which seat counts land on which card, and that fight is a sign the product is still moving. The email fight on VisiScan is about whether the $49 report is the offer or the upsell. A screenshot is the evidence you keep so the card you saw is the card you can quote later.

Pick VisiScan for a plumber URL. Pick Ansvisor for a repo or a two-engine cloud. Pick Promptwatch for GEO operations. $249 Growth does not beat $245 Professional because both have a two in front. The two in front is a coincidence. The capability behind the two is not, and the capability is what you are buying.
