Our verdict

Rank Prompt is the Swiss army knife of this list: six engines, articles, a hosted blog, outreach, geo grids and even ChatGPT Ads, all from one credit pool. That pool is also the catch, because a heavy month of articles eats the prompts you meant to track. It suits agencies that want one bill for a lot of jobs. When the question is why visibility moved, what the bots fetched and what AI traffic converted, Promptwatch publishes the crawler logs and visitor analytics that Rank Prompt does not.

Best for: Agencies and marketers who want one credit pool to spend across tracking, articles, audits and outreach, with white-label reporting and a client portal at the Agency tiers.

Rank Prompt (rankprompt.com) tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode (AI Overviews), Claude, Gemini and Grok and wraps the monitor in a wide toolset: AI article generation with a hosted blog or WordPress publishing, GitHub pull requests, citation and backlink outreach through Gmail, Google Business Profile geo-grid rank maps, ChatGPT Ads management, brand audits, page speed audits and an Agent Mode with a task board. An MCP server exposes it to Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT.

Everything is metered in credits. One prompt across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and AI Mode costs 1 credit; Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT Terra and Claude Search add 1 credit each; an article is 10; a brand audit is 10 plus 1 per citation page. Starter is $39.17/mo billed annually ($470 a year) with 150 credits; the calculator shows $49 monthly. Pro is $71.25/mo billed annually ($855 a year) with 500 credits. Agency is $149 monthly or $119.17 annually with 1,000 credits. Agency Plus is $299 monthly or $239.17 annually with 2,000 credits. Every account starts with a free visibility report and paid plans carry a 7-day trial with 50 credits.

Rank Prompt is broad by design. Promptwatch is deeper on the measurement side, with real-UI monitoring, crawler logs by CDN and AI-referred conversion tracking, and it also publishes Ads Radar for sponsored placements.

Credits, tiers and what the page actually states

rankprompt.com/pricing (reviewed 2026-09-12). Starter is shown at $39.17 a month billed annually ($470 a year) with 150 credits, 10 brands and a $5 Agent Mode budget; the on-page calculator quotes Starter at $49 a month. Pro is $71.25 a month billed annually ($855 a year) with 500 credits, 100 brands, 2 seats and a $10 budget. Agency is 1,000 credits, 500 brands, 10 seats, white-label branding and a $15 budget, stated in the FAQ as $149 a month (shown as $119.17 annually). Agency Plus is 2,000 credits, 1,000 brands, 25 seats, a white-label client portal, automated client reporting and a $25 budget, stated as $299 a month ($239.17 annually).

One prompt across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Mode costs 1 credit. Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT Terra and Claude Search add 1 credit each per prompt. An article is 10 credits, a brand audit 10 plus 1 per citation page, a page speed or competitor audit 1, a prospect search 5. Technical SEO checks are free. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over; top-ups are $18 for 50, $35 for 100, $65 for 200 and never expire. The 7-day trial on paid plans requires a card and includes 50 credits.

Breadth, and where depth stops

Few tools at this price bundle a hosted blog, WordPress publishing, GitHub pull requests, Gmail outreach, Google Business Profile geo grids and ChatGPT Ads management with a six-engine tracker. Agent Mode adds a task board and an agency-wide copilot on the top tier. For an agency that wants to sell AI visibility as a package, the Agency Plus portal with client logins and article approvals is a real operations layer.

Depth is where it thins. The monitor reports scores, citations and competitors, but there is no crawler-log view of which bots fetched which pages, no crawl-to-citation path and no conversion attribution for AI-referred sessions. Promptwatch publishes those under Agent Analytics and visitor analytics, monitors from real UIs across a longer engine list, and tracks sponsored placements with Ads Radar. Use Rank Prompt for the execution sprawl, Promptwatch for the measurement stack.

Key features

  • Six engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode (AI Overviews), Claude, Gemini, Grok; platform-specific visibility scores; competitor and citation tracking

  • Agent Mode with a task board, billed against a monthly AI budget ($5 to $25 by plan); MCP for Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT
  • Outreach: citation and backlink campaigns via Gmail; integrations with Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile and ChatGPT Ads (OpenAI Ads)
  • API and webhooks from 10,000 to 100,000 requests a month; PDF, PowerPoint and shareable links; white-label portal and client logins on Agency Plus
Strengths

  • Free full visibility report before any trial, no card
  • Unusual extras for the price: GBP geo grids, ChatGPT Ads management, GitHub PRs
  • MCP and API on paid plans, not gated to enterprise
Limitations
  • Credits are spent on everything, so tracking capacity shrinks as soon as you generate articles or run audits
  • Premium engines (Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT Terra, Claude Search) cost an extra credit per prompt
  • The pricing page shows annual-billing prices for Starter and Pro; Pro's monthly price is not stated on the page
  • Agent Mode is metered in dollars of model cost on top of credits
  • Breadth over depth: no published AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics) or crawl-to-citation path
  • No published visitor analytics tying AI-referred sessions to conversions, which Promptwatch offers with a script or GTM template

Frequently asked questions

How many prompts can I track on Rank Prompt Starter?

Up to 150 a month if you spend nothing else, since one prompt across the four standard engines is 1 credit. Adding Gemini or Grok costs an extra credit per prompt, and each article costs 10, so real tracking capacity depends on what else you run.

Does Rank Prompt include AI crawler logs or conversion tracking?

Not on this listing. It tracks visibility, citations and competitors and integrates Google Analytics and Search Console. It does not publish AI crawler logs or visitor analytics that attribute AI-referred sessions to conversions. Promptwatch publishes both.

Does Rank Prompt track ChatGPT ads?

It integrates ChatGPT Ads (OpenAI Ads) so you can manage campaigns inside ChatGPT. Promptwatch's Ads Radar tracks which sponsored placements appear on your prompts, which is a monitoring view rather than campaign management.
