First Answer vs OmniSEO (2026): Which published-price tracker gives you more per dollar?
OmniSEO starts at $89/mo with 4 engines; First Answer at $135/mo with 2. We compare engines, competitors, seats and trials plan by plan, and show where Promptwatch undercuts both.
If you're shopping for an AI visibility tracker with a price on the website and no sales call, First Answer and OmniSEO will both come up. They publish two self-serve tiers each, both entry plans include 50 prompts, and both mid tiers allow 100. The differences are in what each dollar buys: engines, competitors, seats and the small print on the trial.
The companies behind them are very different. OmniSEO is powered by WebFX and SEO.com, an agency group that says it has more than 650 experts on staff. First Answer is a 2025 startup from Brazil run by its founders, Johanna Goulart and Rodrigo Beckmann. We'll compare them plan by plan, then hold both against Promptwatch, which prices close to OmniSEO at the entry level and below both in the middle.

First Answer, plan by plan
At $135, Essential is the more expensive entry plan and covers the fewest engines here. In return you get 10 competitors where OmniSEO allows five, daily updates, up to 5 action plans and one AI-written piece a month. Pro at $370 raises that to 15 competitors, 12 action plans, two content pieces and five models. The pricing page lists the fifth model inconsistently (Grok on the plan card, Copilot in the FAQ), so ask before you pay.
It also lists AI traffic and crawler logs, which OmniSEO doesn't publish. Ask for a demo, because the pages don't name the bots covered, describe crawl-to-citation tracking, or connect AI traffic to conversions. Each plan covers one brand, content isn't published to a CMS, and Claude and Google AI Mode are Enterprise only. Support is available in Portuguese.
OmniSEO, plan by plan
OmniSEO gives more engines and more seats for less money at both tiers. Essentials at $89 tracks four engines with five seats. Professional at $349 opens all 10 (adding Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Meta AI, Grok and DeepSeek), 10 seats and CSV or PDF exports. That is $21 less than First Answer Pro for twice the engines.
Prompt research is the feature we'd point to. Enter a domain or topic and OmniSEO surfaces prompts from its library with an estimated query volume, ready to track in one click. A citing-domain view shows which sources, Reddit and YouTube among them, shape the answers, and each tracked prompt comes with recommendations.
The constraints are specific. Five competitors is tight in a crowded category. Essentials has no exports at all. Going from 50 to 100 saved prompts costs $260 more a month. The no-card trial only covers ChatGPT and AI Overviews, and plan changes take effect at the next billing cycle, so an upgrade doesn't unlock engines immediately.
Head to head
OmniSEO wins for most small teams and agencies: cheaper at both tiers, more engines at both tiers, real seat counts and a prompt-research tool for building the list. If you sell into a market where Perplexity and AI Overviews matter, the $89 plan already covers them and First Answer's $135 plan does not.
First Answer wins when you track a crowded competitive set, want monthly action plans and a little generated content, or work in Portuguese. Of the two, it is also the only one that lists crawler data.
Where Promptwatch fits
Promptwatch changes the math for both. Essential at $95 costs $6 more than OmniSEO Essentials and $40 less than First Answer Essential, and it runs its 50 prompts across all tracked LLMs, Claude and AI Mode included, with 6,000 responses and 5 AEO articles.
Professional at $245 is cheaper than both mid tiers and has more prompts (150). It adds Agent Analytics with a 25M crawler-log allowance, so you see ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot visits, request errors and which crawls led to citations. It adds state and city tracking too. Prompt research goes past a volume estimate to difficulty scores and query fan-outs. Citation analytics covers page, domain, Reddit, YouTube and offsite mentions.
Then there's the part neither rival offers. Visitor analytics connects AI-referred sessions to conversions through a script or GTM template, and Content Agents draft GEO pages from content gap analysis and publish them to Webflow or Framer after review in an inbox.
Verdict
Between the two named tools, OmniSEO is the better value for most buyers, and First Answer is the better fit for competitor-heavy categories and Portuguese-speaking teams. Our recommendation is to trial Promptwatch Essential before committing to either. It costs about what OmniSEO's entry plan does with far wider engine coverage, and Professional undercuts both mid tiers while adding crawler logs and conversion tracking.
