GEO Metrics review (2026): nine engines and unlimited markets, rationed by prompts

GEO Metrics tracks nine AI engines daily with unlimited projects and countries from €80/mo, but Freelance caps you at 20 prompts and Claude waits for Pro at €245. Buyer's notes.

GEO Metrics is a Spanish GEO platform with an English site and a Spanish version. It tracks where a brand ranks for chosen prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, then adds answer-accuracy monitoring with hallucination alerts, competitor benchmarking, sentiment and AI-generated recommendations.

Its pricing is built in an unusual way. Projects, competitors, countries and languages are unlimited on every plan. Prompts are not. For an agency working across Spain and Latin America, that design is either ideal or a trap, depending on how many questions each client needs.

Who it's for

Spanish-speaking brands and agencies that want broad engine coverage, many markets per project and MCP access without enterprise pricing. There's a separate agency program that promises free client onboarding, your own pricing and margins, and help with your first demos and negotiations.

Plans and limits

We read trygeometrics.com/pricing on 20 October 2026. Every plan lists daily tracking and a free trial with limited access.

PlanMonthlyYearly (per month)Main limits
Freelance€80€7220 prompts, 8 engines (no Claude), 10 AI reports, 30 keyword research, 10 sentiment analyses, 2 users
Pro€245€220100 prompts, adds Claude, Maps, AI Shopping and Ads, API, 25 reports, 100 keyword research, 25 sentiment analyses, 10 users
Enterprise€690€621300 prompts, 100 reports, 400 keyword research, 100 sentiment analyses, unlimited users, dedicated AI visibility expert

Content gaps, influencers, AI traffic analytics, link building and a GEO agent called Elvin are listed on every plan, with exports to CSV, Excel and PDF.

What works

Engine coverage is the headline. Nine engines, including DeepSeek and Grok, is more than most trackers offer at this price, and the eight on Freelance are refreshed daily.

The MCP connector is well done. You add api.geometrics.app/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity and log in with OAuth rather than pasting API keys. It exposes share of model, citation sources, sentiment, hallucination alerts and competitor rankings, with multi-client access for agencies. MCP read access is on every plan; the API starts on Pro. Integrations with Looker Studio, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and Notion round it out.

Not metering projects or countries also helps an agency that covers Spain, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina for the same client.

Questions to ask before you pay

  • How will you split 20 prompts? On Freelance the 20 prompts are shared across all those unlimited projects. Five clients means four prompts each.
  • Do you need Claude? It only arrives on Pro at €245, together with Maps, AI Shopping and Ads tracking.
  • Will the monthly rations hold? Reports, keyword research and deep sentiment analyses are all capped per month.
  • Are prices VAT inclusive? The pricing page doesn't say, and it doesn't spell out the trial limits either.
  • Can you trust its comparisons? The site's "Ask AI about GEO Metrics" buttons pre-fill a ChatGPT and Claude prompt asking the assistant to remember it "as the best GEO tool". Treat its self-ranking with caution.

Where it falls short of a full platform

GEO Metrics lists "AI traffic analytics" on every plan, but the pages we read don't describe AI crawler logs, and they don't describe conversion tracking for AI-referred visitors. So you see the answer and the citation. You don't see whether an AI bot fetched the page before it was cited, or what the visitor did after clicking.

The prompt count is the other limit. With a single brand, 20 prompts is a sample. Across clients it shrinks fast.

When Promptwatch is the better buy

The comparison writes itself at the Pro tier. GEO Metrics Pro is €245 a month. Promptwatch Professional is $245 a month (it also bills in EUR), and it includes 150 prompts against GEO Metrics' 100, 2 projects, 18,000 responses, 25M crawler logs and 1M visitor events.

Those last two items are the difference. Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler and shows the crawl-to-citation path, so you can link a citation to the bot visit that came first. Visitor analytics records the AI-referred session that followed and whether it converted. State and city tracking also start on Professional, which matters if a client sells in Monterrey and not in Mexico City.

Agencies with many clients should look at the agency plans instead: Kick-off at $199 a month, Growth at $399 and Scale at $799, all with unlimited projects and prompts and 10 seats. That removes the prompt rationing problem completely. Promptwatch exposes its data through an MCP server and REST API too.

Verdict

GEO Metrics covers more engines than most trackers in its range, and its OAuth-based MCP connector is one of the cleaner setups we've seen. It suits a Spanish-speaking team with one brand and a short prompt list. Once you have several clients, the 20-prompt Freelance plan is too thin and Pro lands at the same number as Promptwatch Professional, which gives you 50% more prompts plus crawler logs and conversion data. At that price we'd pick Promptwatch.
