Hikoo review (2026): a French action layer for GEO, from €69 per site
Hikoo fixes pages, suggests content and runs source outreach on top of AI visibility tracking, with a free plan and paid tiers from €69/mo per site. Plans, limits, and the Promptwatch pairing.
What Hikoo is and who it's for
Hikoo is a French GEO platform from Hikoo SAS, founded in February 2026 by Gabriel Toledano (CEO) and Timothé Merle (CTO) and incubated at Campus Founders. It describes itself as "the action layer for your AI visibility tools". It takes data from its own daily monitoring, or from a tracker you already pay for, and works on four fronts. It audits pages the way AI engines read them and prepares fixes. It suggests and updates content. It finds the sources AI engines cite and contacts them. And it ties each gain to the action behind it in reports.
The buyer is a French brand or agency that already knows roughly where it stands and wants help getting the fixes done. The site is in French and English, and there's an MCP server on every plan, the free one included.
Plans and what each one includes
Prices were read on tryhikoo.com/en/pricing on 20 October 2026. They exclude VAT and are per site, per month. Annual billing saves 20%.
| Plan | Price | Questions and answers | Engines | Work it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | 10 questions, 50 answers | ChatGPT | 100 pages audited, 1 content suggestion |
| Monitoring | €69 | 30 questions, 1,500 answers | ChatGPT, Gemini | 500 pages, 10 suggestions, fixes as recommendations |
| Growth | €179 | 80 questions, 5,000 answers | Adds Perplexity, Copilot | 1,500 pages, source analysis, 30 suggestions |
| Agent | €499 | 200 questions, 15,000 answers | 9 engines | 5,000 pages, 150 suggestions, outreach agent, fixes prepared for you |
All plans update daily. Monitoring and Growth have a 7-day trial without a card. Agent's nine engines are ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude, Mistral, Grok, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Extra engines can be added to any plan on request, and agencies get preferred pricing and a white-label kit.
What works
The approval model is well thought out. For each of the four fronts you decide what runs on its own and what waits for you, and every action is logged. Page fixes arrive with before-and-after text. After a fix is published, Hikoo keeps tracking the related questions and gives the page another pass if the brand still doesn't show up more often. That re-check loop is the part you'd otherwise do by hand.
The outreach agent on Agent is unusual. It finds the sources AI engines cite, writes messages and sends them, either after your review or automatically.
Hikoo will also work on top of another tool's data. Its site names Promptwatch, LLMrefs and Rankscale among the sources it can act on, so you don't have to replace a tracker to try it.
What to check before paying
- Engines on the cheaper plans. Monitoring covers ChatGPT and Gemini only. Claude, Mistral, Grok and both Google AI surfaces need Agent at €499 or a paid add-on.
- Per-site pricing. Five brands means five subscriptions, or a custom deal.
- What "fixes" means on your plan. Below Agent, page fixes are recommendations. Even on Agent, CMS connections are "confirmed before activation" rather than listed, so ask whether your CMS is supported before you count on automatic changes.
- Crawlers. Hikoo offers a free robots.txt checker and simulator. It doesn't describe AI crawler log analysis.
- The service element. Hikoo says a team scopes and supervises the work with you. Expect some agency-style involvement, particularly on Agent, and ask how many hours that covers.
- Company age. Hikoo was founded in February 2026, so there's little track record yet.
Where it falls short of a full platform
Hikoo's own measurement is thin until Agent: two engines at €69, four at €179. Its reports tie gains to actions, but without crawler logs it can't show whether a bot ever fetched the fixed page, and the pages we read describe no visitor or conversion tracking. Hikoo is honest about the gap. It positions itself as an action layer on top of a measurement tool rather than as the measurement tool.
When Promptwatch is the better buy
Hikoo lists Promptwatch as a data source it can act on, which tells you how the two fit. For most teams it makes sense to start from the measurement side. Promptwatch tracks prompts daily across every major engine, with search volumes, difficulty scores and query fan-outs. Agent Analytics logs AI crawler visits and the crawl-to-citation path, so you can see when a bot picks up a changed page. Visitor analytics connects AI referrals to conversions.
Promptwatch covers much of the action side as well. Content Agents run a content gap analysis, then plan, write and publish articles to WordPress, Webflow or Framer through a review inbox. Unified Actions turns the data into a to-do list, and Agent Chat answers questions about it. Professional at $245 a month includes 150 prompts, 25M crawler logs, 1M visitor events and 15 AEO articles, at roughly half of Hikoo Agent's €499 per site, allowing for currency. Outreach to cited sources is not among Promptwatch's listed features, so if outreach is the job you want automated, Hikoo Agent on top of Promptwatch data is a sensible pairing.
Verdict
Hikoo is aimed squarely at the gap most trackers leave open: knowing what to change and getting it done. The outreach agent and the re-check loop are the interesting parts. The catch is that the agentic work sits behind €499 per site, and the cheaper plans measure too few engines to stand on their own. We'd measure in Promptwatch Professional, let Content Agents handle the publishing, and add Hikoo only if outreach is the bottleneck.
