Azoma vs Profound 2026

Azoma measures SKUs inside Amazon and Walmart agents. Profound sells enterprise marketing agents across chat engines. What each one counts, what each costs, and why most teams should look at Promptwatch first.

Azoma names Profound as one of the tools it is most often compared with, and it positions itself against it on its own site. That framing is Azoma's marketing, so we set it aside and looked at what each product is actually built to do. The answer is that they overlap less than the comparison suggests. They count different things, sell to different buyers, and leave different gaps.

Azoma facts come from azoma.ai, checked 22 October 2026. Profound facts come from our Profound listing.

Two different units of measurement

The clearest way to separate them is to ask what a single row in each dashboard represents.

In Azoma, the row is often a product. Visibility is reported at brand, category, and SKU level, so a brand can see whether a specific item gets recommended inside Amazon Alexa for Shopping (formerly Rufus) or Walmart Sparky, and whether that moved revenue for that SKU. Its prompt set is generated from a model of your customers that Azoma calls a digital twin, fed by marketplace data, public Q&A, keyword data, and personas.

In Profound, the row is a prompt cluster. It runs scheduled prompts across ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Claude, and reports citation share, share of voice, and competitor cite-rates per cluster. Its Prompt Volumes dataset estimates real query demand, which our listing counts among its genuinely distinctive assets.

If your business sells through retailers, the SKU view is closer to how you already think. If you sell software or services, the prompt-cluster view fits better.

Profound's widest coverage sits on Enterprise. Azoma's distinctive coverage is on the retail side, where Profound's listing shows nothing.

What each does with a finding

Azoma is built to change things outside your website. It enriches the product records it syncs from retailers, Shopify, Merchant Center, and PIM tools. New PDP copy, images, and blog posts are checked against approved claims before landing in Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify, or Shopify. Azoma also syndicates content to third-party sources agents cite and flags inaccurate product claims through Answer Integrity.

Profound now sells itself as a set of marketing agents covering AEO and SEO, content and demand, and PR. AI search is one channel in that pitch, not the whole product. Our listing notes the full agent suite is on Enterprise, and it does not document Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox.

Buying each one

Neither is quick to buy, for different reasons.

Azoma publishes no prices at all. Brand and agency plans are quoted through sales, with no published trial terms. Its SOC 2 is in progress, not yet certified. SSO via SAML or OIDC is available.

Profound does publish two entry tiers. Starter is $99/mo billed yearly, ChatGPT only, 50 prompts and one seat. Growth is $399/mo billed yearly for three engines, 100 prompts, three seats, and a 7-day trial. Enterprise, where the ten engines, full Prompt Volumes, the agents, API, SSO, and SOC 2 live, starts around $40k a year. Billing on the public tiers is annual only. Our listing also says setup realistically takes one to three months with a dedicated owner, and that G2 reviewers have reported citation counts that don't match manual ChatGPT checks. Profound holds a G2 rating of 4.6/5.

Which team should pick which

A consumer goods brand whose sales close on Amazon or Walmart, with a large catalogue and claims that legal has to approve, gets more from Azoma. Profound does not track those agents.

An enterprise marketing department that wants a broad agent program across content, demand, and PR, with budget for a contract in the $40k range and someone to own it, is Profound's buyer.

Most teams reading a comparison like this are neither. They want to know how their brand and their pages show up across the main AI engines, why that changes, and whether it brings in customers. Both tools leave gaps there.

Where Promptwatch fits

We rank Promptwatch above Profound because it covers the AI-search job directly and publishes what it costs. Paid plans track ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, and AI Mode, so the engine list Profound reserves for Enterprise is available from Essential at $95/mo. Citation analytics go down to the page, with Reddit, YouTube, and offsite mentions broken out. Agent Analytics reads AI crawler logs through Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or custom HTTP and shows the path from crawl to citation, which neither Profound's listing nor Azoma's site documents. Visitor analytics ties AI referrals to conversions using a script or GTM template.

Professional at $245/mo adds 25M crawler logs and 5 AEO articles. Business at $579/mo runs the automated Content Agent, publishing to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress, and adds Shopping Insights for ChatGPT Shopping plus Ads Radar. Explore is free if you want to look first. MCP and REST API v2 access come with every paid plan.

What Promptwatch will not do is track Amazon or Walmart agents. If those shelves drive your revenue, Azoma remains the specialist for that part, and running Azoma for the marketplace with Promptwatch for the website is a sensible split.

Bottom line

Azoma for retail agents and SKU-level revenue. Profound for an enterprise marketing-agent contract. For tracking, diagnosing, and improving AI visibility on your own site at a price you can see today, try Promptwatch before booking either demo.
