Best Agentic SEO Tools 2026: Platforms That Monitor, Fix, and Publish
Nine agentic SEO tools ranked by how much of monitor, decide, fix and publish they run themselves, plus the approval gate, rollback and refresh questions to ask before you sign.
"Agentic" is now on nearly every SEO vendor's homepage, which makes the word close to useless when you're comparing quotes. This guide uses a narrower test. Any AI search program has four jobs: monitor what the engines say, decide what to change, make the change, and publish it. We ask how many of those a tool does itself, and how many it hands back to you as a to-do.
A tool that only monitors is a tracker. Every tool ranked here goes further: it writes the fix, stages it for approval, or pushes it to your site. The order reflects how much of the loop each one runs, and whether it can tell you afterwards that the change worked. Prices and features come from each tool's directory entry; where a vendor doesn't publish a number, we say so. For definitions, see our guide to agentic engine optimization platforms.
Questions to ask before you sign
Agentic tools get write access to your CMS, your repo, sometimes an outreach inbox that mails from your domain. Ask accordingly.
- Where does the fix land? A pull request, a CMS draft, a live page, a layer in front of your site, or a block of text you paste in yourself. Each one breaks differently.
- Is approval required by default, or is it a setting someone can switch off?
- How do you undo a change? Ask them to show you, not describe it.
- After a page goes live, does the tool show whether AI crawlers fetched it and whether engines started citing it?
- How often does it check? A weekly or fortnightly cycle means a bad fix can sit for days.
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch runs all four jobs in one workspace and then checks its own work. That last part is why it leads.
Monitoring is daily prompt tracking on paid plans, with search volumes, difficulty and query fan-outs, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and more. Citation analytics go down to pages, Reddit threads and YouTube videos. Agent Analytics adds what most tools leave out: real crawler logs for ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with the crawl-to-citation path and bot errors.
Deciding happens in Unified Actions, an AI-generated to-do list, and Agent Chat, which answers questions over the live numbers. Content Agents run a content gap analysis, draft the page, and publish to Webflow, Framer or WordPress through a review inbox, so the approval gate is built in. On Framer there's no per-item publish: going live redeploys the whole site.
Visitor analytics record AI-referred visits and conversions through a script or GTM template. The MCP server and REST API come with every paid plan, and a read-only key hides the write tools.
Explore is free (10 ChatGPT prompts). Essential is $95/mo, Professional $245/mo (adds 25M crawler logs and 5 AEO articles a month), Business $579/mo (10 AEO articles and the automated Content Agent). Agency plans start at $199/mo.
2. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ is strongest at deciding. Its Action Center turns visibility data into assignable tasks such as schema generation, content reformatting and LLM metadata optimization. A unified GEO score blends citations, sentiment, traffic impact and query types, and GA4, Shopify and Webflow revenue attribution ties that score to sales.
Its listing doesn't show it publishing. Your team carries out the tasks, and the catalog entry notes recommendations need editing before they ship. Free tier with about 300 credits; Starter is $295/mo ($245 annual), credit-based and single-country.
3. Adaptify
Adaptify runs the longest unattended loop of anything here. When a brand is missing from an answer on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Copilot, it scores the gap, writes a GEO article through a seven-stage pipeline, publishes it to WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot CMS or Duda, and re-tests on the next cycle.
The weak spot: visibility refreshes every 14 days, and no prompt allowance is published. Single Site is $499/mo. Multi-Site is $333 per site with a three-site minimum and adds a white-label portal with client approvals.
4. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI acts at a layer the others don't touch. Its Agent Experience Platform serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to LLM crawlers, while people still see the normal site. It also tracks visibility (up to nine engines on Enterprise) and reports crawler traffic.
Its catalog entry lists a weekly data refresh. Starter is $250/mo billed annually ($300 monthly) with 3 seats, Growth $417/mo annually, and AXP at scale is on custom Enterprise. Sitecore acquired Scrunch in June 2026. In the demo, ask to see the crawler version and the human version of one page side by side.
5. Hikoo
Hikoo calls itself an action layer for AI visibility, working from its own daily tracking or another tracker's data, Promptwatch included. Its Agent plan prepares page fixes, suggests up to 150 content pieces a month, and runs an outreach agent that finds sources AI engines cite and messages them, reviewed or automatically. Reports tie each gain to an action.
Agent is €499/mo per site, excluding VAT. On the €69 and €179 plans, fixes are recommendations only, and CMS connections are "confirmed before activation" rather than listed. Founded February 2026.
6. Outcited
Outcited runs a weekly loop for small sites. It tracks buyer-style queries on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, writes and publishes articles for the gaps, and rewrites any article not cited after three weeks, the clearest self-correcting step on this list. A script logs AI crawler visits by bot and page. Articles go to WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify or a Next.js pull request.
Limits: weekly, three engines, English only, and its FAQ suggests API-sourced answers. Launch is $49/mo for 10 queries and 10 articles; the rewrite engine starts on Growth at $79/mo.
7. Agent Number 10
Agent Number 10, called CiteAgent until October 2026, checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and AI Overviews and works out why a site isn't recommended. Then it writes the fix: an answer-led paragraph, an FAQ block, schema or a heading. Fixes wait for your approval, and then its team ships them or hands them over ready to paste.
Fixes are capped hard: 5 a month on Agent ($49 per domain), 25 on Agent Pro ($129 per domain). The Agencies plan is $399/mo for 10 client domains sharing 50 fixes. Its pricing page doesn't state how often AI answers are refreshed.
8. Profound
Profound is sold today as marketing agents for AEO and SEO, content, demand and PR, with prompt tracking underneath. The agents and the full 10-engine list are on Enterprise, where contracts start around $40k a year. Public Starter is $99/mo billed yearly and ChatGPT-only. Growth is $399/mo yearly for three engines. It suits teams buying one agent vendor across marketing channels. For AI search on its own, the tools above go further for less money.
9. Orchly
Orchly tries the same loop at indie prices. It tracks Google rankings next to ChatGPT, AI Overview and Perplexity answers, and its agents turn gaps into tasks, draft articles and publish once you approve. Essential is $49/mo ($37 annually) for 25 daily prompts and 20 articles. Gemini, AI Mode, Grok and Claude are paid add-ons with no price shown, and publishing targets aren't listed.

Who should pick which
If you want one tool that measures, acts and then proves the action worked, start with Promptwatch. Professional is the plan where crawler logs come in.
Teams with people to do the work, who mainly want a prioritized task list, should look at AthenaHQ. Adaptify fits multi-site owners who want articles written and published hands-off and can live with a 14-day refresh. When AI crawlers struggle to read your site and the CMS is slow to change, Scrunch AI. Hikoo on the Agent plan when outreach to cited sources is the gap.
A small English-language site on a budget can run Outcited. Agent Number 10 suits buyers who want approved fixes in small batches, and Profound is for enterprise teams buying agents across channels. If your bottleneck is recurring SEO chores rather than AI answers, our AI SEO automation tools ranking uses a different test.
The recommendation
The deciding question for an agentic tool isn't how much it can do unattended. It's whether you can see what happened after it acted. Most tools here publish or fix something, then go back to checking answers on their usual schedule. Promptwatch also shows whether bots fetched the new page, whether engines started citing it, and whether the visits converted, so a Content Agents draft you approved in the review inbox gets judged on results. Start on the free Explore plan to see your baseline, and move to Professional when you want the crawler logs: promptwatch.com.
