Best GEO Tools for Agencies With Multi-Location Clients in 2026
Ranked GEO tools for agencies serving franchises, retail chains, healthcare groups, and home services: city tracking, geo-grids, per-location reports, and the cost per location.
A franchise with 30 locations is really 30 slightly different GEO clients that share a logo. Ask ChatGPT for "the best emergency plumber in Leeds" and then the same question for Sheffield, and you can get two different lists. The brand might lead in one city and be missing in the next. A national visibility score averages those results into a number that's true for nobody.
That's the problem agencies run into with retail chains, dental and clinic groups, gyms, and home services franchises. The client's growth happens location by location, so the reporting has to work that way too. This guide covers how per-location GEO tracking works, which tools do it, and what it costs per location using the prices in each tool's directory entry. Promptwatch details come from its llms.txt, read on 2026-10-21.
Three ways tools handle locations
City and state prompt tracking runs your prompts as if asked from a given city or state, alongside country-level tracking. It suits brands with a location in each metro, and the same project can hold the national and comparison prompts that a geo-grid scan isn't built for.
Geo-grid scanning comes from local SEO. A tool sends the same prompt from a grid of points around one address and maps where the business is recommended. That answers "which neighborhoods do we lose" with a precision city tracking won't match, but each point costs a credit.
Then there are listings platforms with an AI module. Reviews and listings vendors now score each location's AI presence next to the listings they already manage. They're convenient if the client is already on that platform, and the fix often runs through listings.
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch puts country, state, and city tracking on every agency plan. That matters, because on the brand plans state and city tracking start at Business ($579 a month), and Professional ($245) is country-level only. An agency on Kick-off at $199 gets city tracking with unlimited projects and unlimited prompts, so you can track "family dentist near me" in each of a client's cities and compare them against the competitors named in each market.
The rest of the stack works per location as well. Citation analytics shows whether an answer in a given city drew on the client's location page, a directory, or a local competitor. Visitor analytics reports AI-referred visits with top locations and conversions. AI crawler logs show whether GPTBot or ClaudeBot actually fetched the location pages. Tags and topics let you group prompts by region or location, which keeps a 30-city prompt set readable.
The limit is responses, not locations or projects. Kick-off includes 10,000 responses a month, Growth 25,000, and Scale 65,000, and Promptwatch counts multi-model, multi-location coverage inside that number. Run the 7-day trial with the client's real city list and watch how fast the allowance moves before you quote.
2. Uberall GEO Studio
Uberall GEO Studio comes from a location marketing platform and tracks share of voice, citations, and brand traits by persona, location, and competitor. Location-level tracking starts at GEO Scale, $449 a month with 5,000 credits, 150 prompts, five engines, and daily runs. GEO Starter at $109 doesn't include it. Content from its Action Center goes through an approval step and publishes to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, or Framer. Our listing doesn't explain how each location draws on the credit allowance.
3. Birdeye Search AI
Birdeye Search AI reports a Visibility Score and share of voice by brand and by location across seven engines, including Claude, Grok, AI Mode, and AI Overviews. Its Accuracy report traces wrong hours or addresses to the source, and listings Birdeye manages are corrected automatically. Pricing isn't published. Usage is metered as locations times scan frequency times engines times prompts, the default scan is monthly, and bundles can only be downgraded at renewal.
4. Local Falcon
Local Falcon is the geo-grid specialist. It sends each prompt from every point on a grid of 3x3 up to 21x21 around a location, on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode, and Grok, and reports Share of AI Voice next to Google Maps visibility for the same keyword. Plans include unlimited keywords and locations, and you pay in credits, one per grid point. It doesn't describe crawler logs or AI-referred conversions.
5. BrightLocal Local AI Visibility
BrightLocal Local AI Visibility scores each location from 0 to 100 on ChatGPT, AI Mode, and AI Overviews against the local competitors AI actually recommends, and sends citation gaps to Citation Builder. It's included on Track, Manage, and Grow. Prompts are capped at 20 per location, and per the help center there's no export or white-label reporting yet, which is a real gap for agency decks.
6. Synup AEO
Synup AEO writes 16 local discovery prompts per location, runs them on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, and refreshes reports monthly. You can't add your own prompts on the pages we read, and there's no mid-month regenerate. White-label and a client portal start on Premium.
7. Reputation AI Location Presence Insights
Reputation AI Location Presence Insights checks, store by store, what ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity say about a location's address, phone, and hours, with sentiment and a view that links inaccurate citations to their source. It's a no-cost upgrade for Rep Core customers, per Reputation's FAQ. Results refresh monthly, and corrections happen off-platform.
8. Yext Scout
Yext Scout benchmarks each location against up to 20 local competitors and routes recommendations into Yext's Listings, Reviews, Pages, and Social agents. It tracks about four engines, and Yext's own pages disagree on which. There's no public price. Scout is packaged into Yext platform deals, so it mostly fits clients already on Yext.
What it costs per location
Take a 30-location franchise and run it through the published numbers.
Reputation is the simplest: Rep Core is $80 per location per month, so $2,400 a month. That buys reviews and listings management too, not just AI checks.
Synup prices by band. Thirty locations is over Pro's limit of 25, so it's Scale at $899 a month for up to 50, about $30 per location. A 10-location client on Premium at $299 lands at $29.90 per location.
Local Falcon depends on scan depth. Ten keywords on a 9x9 grid, four times a month, uses 3,240 credits per location. Thirty locations need 97,200 credits a month, more than Premium's 63,150 at $199.99. Enterprise packages start at $499 for 157,000 credits, enough for about 48 locations at that depth. Falcon AI reports cost 25 credits each on top.
BrightLocal is $41 a month for one location or $62 for two to five on monthly billing, rising by band up to 100. Our listing doesn't give the band price for 30.
Birdeye has no public price, but the meter is easy to model. Thirty locations times ten prompts times three engines is 900 prompts per scan. Monthly, that's 900. Weekly, about 3,600, and overages cost 1.25 times the standard rate.
Promptwatch doesn't charge per location. Growth at $399 a month works out to about $13 per location across 30, and the same plan can carry the agency's other clients. Responses are the constraint, which is why the trial test above matters.
Reporting per location without drowning
A 30-page PDF is not a report. Group locations by region, and give the client one summary page with the cities where visibility moved most. Send each franchisee only their own city. Track a handful of shared prompts in every location so you can compare like with like, and keep location-specific prompts (a service only some branches offer) tagged separately. When a city drops, check the cited sources before anything else. The usual cause is a directory or competitor page, not the brand's own site.
The recommendation
Per-location GEO breaks most tools on one of two points: they price every location separately, or they can't follow a prompt from a city result to the page that won it. Promptwatch handles both on a single agency plan, because city and state tracking come with every agency tier and citation analytics shows which page each city's answer drew on. Start on Kick-off or Growth at Promptwatch with your largest multi-location client's city list, and see the Promptwatch review for the plan details.
