Promptwatch vs Moz Pro vs Mangools vs Similarweb: AI Visibility Add-ons Compared (2026)
Moz Pro, Mangools and Similarweb now report on AI search. What each add-on measures, what it costs, and where Promptwatch goes further.
Moz, Mangools and Similarweb were SEO and traffic tools long before anyone tracked ChatGPT answers. All three have since added something for AI search. The additions are not the same kind of product, though, and that is the first thing to understand before you compare prices.
Moz Pro and Mangools bolted a prompt tracker onto an existing SEO suite. Similarweb did something different. It applied its panel traffic data to AI referrals, so it estimates how many visits AI assistants send to sites across a market. Promptwatch is the dedicated AI visibility platform in this line-up, and it measures your own site directly.
So the buyer here is usually someone who already pays for one of these suites and wants to know if the new AI feature is enough. Sometimes it is. All figures for Moz, Mangools and Similarweb come from our catalog entries, and Promptwatch figures come from its published plan sheet.
Promptwatch: tracking, citations, crawlers and traffic in one place
Promptwatch tracks prompts daily on paid plans across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral and Copilot, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Each prompt comes with search volume, a difficulty score and its query fan-outs, and you can tag prompts by topic or persona. Country tracking is on every plan. State and city tracking start on Professional.
Below the prompt layer, citation analytics shows which page and domain each answer cited, with separate views for Reddit and YouTube. Agent Analytics records AI crawler visits in real time, so you can see whether ChatGPTBot or PerplexityBot fetched a page before it got cited, or hit an error instead. Visitor analytics counts AI-referred sessions on your own site and ties them to conversions through a lightweight script or GTM template. Content Agents then plan and write pages for gaps and publish them to Webflow, Framer or WordPress after review.
Pricing: Explore is free for 10 ChatGPT prompts. Essential is $95 a month with a 7-day trial, covering 50 prompts, 6,000 responses and 200,000 visitor events. Professional is $245 a month with 150 prompts and 25 million crawler logs. Business is $579 a month, and agency plans start at $199.
Moz Pro AI Visibility: a first read for Moz users
Moz Pro AI Visibility is a dashboard inside Moz Pro. It tracks whether your brand appears in ChatGPT and Gemini answers, where it appears inside the answer, and how you compare with up to three competitors. Share of mentions is reported over time, which helps if you want to see whether a launch or PR push moved anything.
Be careful with the details. The Moz product page returned a 404 when our catalog entry was researched, so the price and engine list come from a 2026 third-party report by Noah Intelligence. That report puts the dashboard at $49 a month. We have not confirmed the figure on a Moz page, so treat it as secondhand.
Position inside the answer is the right thing to measure, and it is more useful than a raw mention count. The limits are engine breadth and depth. Two engines leaves out Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The listing documents no crawler logs, no AI-referred conversion tracking and no content publishing. If you are not already a Moz Pro customer, the suite subscription is the real gate.
Mangools AI Search Watcher: wide engine coverage for a bolt-on
Mangools AI Search Watcher covers eight engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Mistral and Llama. Mistral and Llama are rare in trackers at this level. It runs each prompt several times and averages the results into positions, visibility scores and citation insights, which is a sensible answer to how much AI responses vary between runs. You get competitor comparisons side by side, suggested prompt ideas, and the option to add your own.
The watcher is included in the Mangools Basic, Premium and Agency plans. The AI Search Watcher page does not show those plan prices, and there is no published standalone price. Mangools offers a 48-hour money-back guarantee.
It is a tracker and nothing more, and the page says so. There's no content generation. Crawler logs and conversion analytics are not documented. For an SEO already on Mangools, it adds a good LLM rank view at no extra subscription.
Similarweb: market-level AI traffic, modeled
Similarweb answers a different question from the other three. Its clickstream panel models traffic across more than 200 million sites, and its AI Traffic Tracker estimates referral flows from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and DeepSeek, including landing pages and the prompts behind them. That is the closest thing in this group to a business metric for AI search, because it is about visits rather than mentions.
The numbers are modeled, not measured on your site. The catalog entry notes that Similarweb itself calls small-site data directional, with sites under roughly 100,000 monthly visits the weak spot, and that data lags by about four to eight weeks. There is no rank tracking. It is most useful for comparing large competitors at category level.
Pricing has several layers. A free tier allows limited lookups. Self-serve runs from $125 to $542 a month billed annually, with monthly billing around 20% higher ($199 a month for the starter tier). Team contracts are listed at roughly $14,000 to $35,000 a year. The full AI Search Intelligence suite and API sit in Enterprise, at $50,000 to $150,000 or more a year.

Who should pick which
Run through these before you buy anything new.
- You already pay for Moz Pro and want a first look at ChatGPT and Gemini: turn on the Moz dashboard and confirm the price with Moz.
- You already use Mangools and want broad engine coverage with averaged results: the AI Search Watcher has the widest engine list of the three add-ons.
- You compete with large sites and need market-level evidence of AI referral traffic for a strategy deck: Similarweb, with the directional caveat written on the slide.
- You need to know why your visibility changed and whether AI visitors convert on your own site: Promptwatch.
One more check. If the plan is to show leadership that AI search drives revenue, Similarweb's estimates and a mention tracker's share-of-voice chart are both indirect. Only first-party visitor data on your own site can show a conversion, and none of the three add-ons publishes that.
Why Promptwatch is the one to trial first
Each add-on here gives you one slice. Moz shows where you sit in two engines' answers. Mangools shows positions across eight. Similarweb estimates traffic for the whole market, weeks after the fact. None of them connects the answer to your own site.
Promptwatch does. Citation analytics tells you which page the model pulled from, so you know what to fix. Agent Analytics shows whether AI crawlers can reach that page at all, with errors logged. Visitor analytics counts the AI-referred visits that page earns and whether they convert, from your own traffic rather than a panel. Content Agents close the loop by drafting the page you are missing and publishing it to Webflow, Framer or WordPress once you sign off.
Keep your SEO suite for keyword work. Trial Promptwatch Essential at $95 a month for seven days, or Professional at $245 if crawler logs and city tracking matter now, and run the same prompts you watch in Moz or Mangools. The plan details are on the Promptwatch review page, and the trial starts at promptwatch.com.
