Promptwatch vs Omnia vs Indexly vs Rankshift (2026)
Omnia, Indexly and Rankshift are newer self-serve AI visibility tools. How their engines, prompt caps and crawler reporting compare with Promptwatch.
Most people comparing these four are buying with a card, not an RFP. They are in-house marketers at a growing company, or small agencies with a handful of clients, and they have shortlisted tools they can start using this week. Omnia, Indexly and Rankshift are all newer self-serve platforms, and all three go beyond a bare mention tracker. Omnia has an agent that drafts fixes. Indexly bundles AI tracking with SEO indexing and audits. Rankshift sells unlimited seats and projects. On the surface they look a lot like Promptwatch, so the comparison comes down to what each one actually documents, and what it costs to get the engines and prompt volume you need.
Data on Omnia, Indexly and Rankshift below comes only from their entries in our catalog, which were reviewed against each vendor's own pages on 2026-09-30. Promptwatch details come from its published llms.txt.
Promptwatch: the full platform
Promptwatch tracks prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral and Copilot, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. On Essential, every prompt runs across all of those tracked LLMs, and paid brand plans refresh daily. Prompts carry search volume, difficulty scores, query fan-outs, topics, personas and location targeting (country on every plan, state and city from Professional).
Then come the layers that explain the numbers. Citation analytics work at page and domain level, with Reddit and YouTube citations, offsite mentions and citation trends over time. Agent Analytics logs named AI crawlers in real time, shows the crawl-to-citation path and tracks errors. Visitor analytics connect AI-referred sessions to conversions. Content Agents plan, write and publish GEO pages to Webflow, Framer or WordPress (official plugin), with a review inbox and content gap analysis. MCP and REST API access are on every paid brand plan.
Prices: Explore is free (10 prompts, ChatGPT only). Essential is $95/mo with a 7-day trial for 50 prompts, 6,000 responses, 200K visitor events and 5 AEO articles. Professional is $245/mo for 150 prompts, 25M crawler logs and 15 AEO articles. Business is $579/mo. For agencies, Kick-off ($199/mo, 7-day trial), Growth ($399/mo) and Scale ($799/mo) all include unlimited projects and prompts and 10 seats.
Omnia
Omnia tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Perplexity daily, and makes Claude, Gemini and Copilot available on request, up to seven engines. The vendor says it leaves the rest out on purpose, arguing the extra engines add noise. Each run stores the full response with citations, not just a mention flag.
The action side is an agent called Omnio. It handles content creation, briefs, third-party outreach and CMS publishing, with approval before anything ships. Work is paid for in insight credits that do not expire: 150, 600 or 1,500 a month depending on tier, and an insight always costs 30 credits. Extra packs of 150, 750 and 1,500 credits cost 10, 50 and 100 euros.
Pricing is in euros and published. Growth is 79 euros a month for 25 prompts. Pro is 279 euros for 100 prompts plus data exports. Enterprise is 499 euros for 200+ prompts, a dedicated manager and a 24-hour SLA. Yearly billing takes 20 percent off. The constraints are the modest prompt caps and the four default engines. The pricing page does not describe a crawler-log view or visitor analytics.
Indexly
Indexly started as an SEO tool for automated indexing and audits and now sells AI visibility on top. It tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Claude and Google AI Overviews, with hallucination detection, brand sentiment and competitor analysis. It also sells Content Agents, Reddit and LinkedIn presence tools, and llms.txt generation.
The AI Visibility plan is $99 a month for 2 sites, 100 prompts, any 3 of the six models and 2 countries, tracked daily. Separately, SEO and AI bundles run Starter at $99 (10 articles a month), Growth at $299 (30 articles, content optimization, the Auto-Pilot SEO Agent and AI referral traffic) and Scale at $499 (60 articles and higher audit and indexing limits). Annual billing is 17 percent off.
The homepage says Indexly reports AI crawler activity and AI referral traffic. The pricing page does not break out log retention, crawl-to-citation paths or conversion attribution, and referral traffic is a Growth feature, not a Starter one.
Rankshift
Rankshift calls itself an all-in-one AI search optimization platform for brands and agencies. Its homepage lists visibility, share of voice, citation rate, sentiment, competitor benchmarking, AI referral traffic and AI bot activity, with access to all LLMs and unlimited users and projects. There is a 30-day free trial.
That is most of what we could verify. Plan prices were not on the pages reviewed, so we do not quote any. Bot and referral reporting are named but not documented at log level, and the catalog lists no Content Agents that publish to a CMS. For agencies, the unlimited-seat model is the draw.

Who should pick which
Omnia fits a lean team whose prompt list fits inside 25 or 100 prompts and who mostly cares about ChatGPT, Google and Perplexity. The non-expiring credits and published euro pricing make budgeting simple.
Indexly fits a small team that still needs classic SEO work (indexing, audits, articles) and wants AI tracking from the same vendor. Check whether three models on the $99 plan covers the engines your buyers use.
Rankshift fits an agency that would otherwise pay per seat. Get the price in writing during the trial, and ask to see the bot activity report at the level of individual crawler hits.
Promptwatch fits anyone who needs to explain the numbers, not just report them. That includes agencies, since the agency plans come with unlimited projects and prompts.
A short test to run on all four during the trial:
- Load the same 25 prompts and compare which citations each tool shows for the same answer.
- Ask each tool which AI crawler last fetched your most important page, and when.
- Check whether an AI-referred visit can be tied to a signup or sale.
- Price out the plan you would actually need in six months, not the entry tier.
Why Promptwatch is the one to trial first
Three of these four tools mention AI crawler activity or AI referral traffic somewhere. The difference is how much of it they document. Promptwatch's Agent Analytics names the bot (ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, the Meta AI crawler), logs the hit, flags the error, and shows whether that crawl turned into a citation. Visitor analytics go one step further than referral counts and tie the AI-referred session to a conversion. When a prompt drops, citation analytics show which page or domain took the citation, down to a specific Reddit thread or YouTube video, and Content Agents can draft and publish the page that answers it.
The engine coverage matters too. Essential runs its 50 prompts across every tracked LLM, so you are not choosing three models or requesting extra engines.
Start on the free Explore plan or the 7-day Essential trial of Promptwatch, load the same prompts you plan to test elsewhere, and move to Professional when you want crawler logs on the pages that matter.
