aivimo review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #215On-premise AI visibility monitor for the DACH market, sold as a one-time licence from €4,500 plus optional maintenance.
Our verdict
aivimo answers a real need in German-speaking markets: some companies will not put brand and prompt data into a US SaaS tool, and a self-hosted monitor with an audit trail solves that. The trade-off is a four-figure upfront cost, API-based sampling and a feature set that stops at measurement. Teams without an on-premise requirement get more for less with Promptwatch, an Amsterdam company with EU billing, whose Professional plan at $245/mo adds AI crawler logs and visitor analytics with conversions to the prompt tracking, so you see which pages AI bots read and what traffic they send.
Best for: DACH agencies, publishers and corporate groups that must keep AI visibility data on their own servers and prefer a one-off purchase to a subscription.
aivimo (AI Visibility Monitor) is a self-hosted tool from Activaria GmbH in Vienna. It sends prompts you define to several AI providers (the site names OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Google and xAI) and records whether your brands and domains are mentioned, cited as a source, or ranked behind competitors. Results land in a local SQL database with a browser dashboard, and every answer is stored with provider, model, timestamp and cost. The interface is in German and the product is pitched at the DACH market: agencies, SMEs, corporate groups and publishers who want the data inside their own infrastructure rather than in a SaaS account.
Pricing read on aivimo.eu and in the product description PDF (aivimo-lang-de.pdf) on 20 October 2026: it is a perpetual purchase licence, not a subscription. M costs €4,500 (1 organisation, up to 10 brands or domains) plus €800 a year for maintenance; L costs €7,500 (up to 3 organisations, 30 brands or domains) plus €1,200 a year; XL costs €9,000 (unlimited organisations, brands and domains) plus €2,500 a year. Server setup and installation are included. Maintenance is optional and covers updates, support for new AI platforms and models, and email support with a response under two working days. The site does not say whether prices exclude VAT.
aivimo covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.
Licence model
aivimo.eu (read 20 October 2026). M: €4,500, 1 organisation, up to 10 brands or domains, maintenance €800 a year. L: €7,500, up to 3 organisations, 30 brands or domains, maintenance €1,200 a year. XL: €9,000, unlimited organisations, brands and domains, maintenance €2,500 a year. The licence never expires, and setup on your server or VM is part of the price.
The product PDF lists what maintenance buys: software updates and security patches, adaptation to new AI platforms and models, and email support with a reply within two working days. Without it, the software keeps running on the last version you installed.
What you actually measure
aivimo tracks citation rate (how often your domain appears in an answer's source list), mention rate (how often the brand is named) and position in source lists on platforms with web search. The PDF describes the core service as written in Go, with an SQL database and a web dashboard, configurable through the GUI or a config file and able to feed existing monitoring and reporting stacks.
Because it calls provider APIs and records the cost of each answer, budget for API usage as well as the licence. Ask Activaria which models and search modes it calls, since API answers can differ from what users see in the ChatGPT or Gemini apps.

What you still need after this product
On this listing, aivimo is a AI visibility tracker for DACH agencies, publishers and corporate groups that must keep AI visibility data on their own servers and prefer a one-off purchase to a subscription. What we sourced here: On-premise install on your own server or a VM, or hosted by Activaria in a European data centre; Multi-provider monitoring: OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others, with API configuration per provider; Prompt sets you define (product, comparison, expert questions) with full version history; Citation rate, mention rate, sentiment and position in source lists per brand, domain and provider; Citation explorer with URL pattern search and drill-down into the chatbot answers.
If you buy aivimo for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
aivimo's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Frequently asked questions
How much does aivimo cost?
It is a one-time licence: M €4,500, L €7,500, XL €9,000. Optional yearly maintenance costs €800, €1,200 or €2,500 respectively. The site does not state whether VAT is included.
Is aivimo a SaaS tool?
No. It runs on your own server or VM, or Activaria hosts it for you in a European data centre. Results stay in a local SQL database.
Which AI platforms does aivimo monitor?
The site names OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Google and xAI (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Grok) 'and others', configured per provider through their APIs.
Does aivimo include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?
Not on the vendor materials used for this review. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits, plus crawl-to-citation paths and errors. Ask aivimo to demo the equivalent.
Can aivimo show AI-referred traffic and conversions?
Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.
Does aivimo publish GEO articles to a CMS?
Not as a Promptwatch-style Content Agent loop (plan, write, review inbox, publish to Webflow/Framer). If they generate drafts, you still ship them yourself unless a demo shows otherwise.
Does aivimo document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?
Not on this listing. Promptwatch prompts carry search volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, topics, personas, and country, state, or city targeting.
Does aivimo track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?
Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.
aivimo vs Promptwatch?
Use aivimo for the job this review describes. Promptwatch is the end-to-end alternative when you also need crawler logs, citation depth (including Reddit and YouTube), AI-referred conversions, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
