10 best AI visibility tools for the DACH market (2026)

AI visibility tools for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, from Nennbar's German B2B prompts at €32.50/mo to on-premise aivimo. Promptwatch leads for its EU base and country tracking on every plan.

A buyer in Stuttgart, Graz or Zurich asks ChatGPT for a supplier in German, from a German-speaking country, and gets an answer built from German-language sources: Wer liefert was, Kununu, North Data, trade press, German Wikipedia. Most AI visibility tools are built in English for the US market and measure something else. They ask in English, from a US location, and count citations from sources a DACH buyer never sees.

So the shortlist comes down to where the tool measures from, whether it handles German prompts, and where your data lives. Some companies in the region will not put brand and prompt data into a US SaaS account at all.

How we picked

We started from our catalog and kept tools whose entries document something specific to German-speaking markets: a DACH company, German-language measurement, measurement locations in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, or EU data hosting. Facts for the new entries were read on the vendors' own pages on 20 October 2026. Older entries use the data in our catalog. We only say a tool supports German where its entry says so. Where an entry is silent, we say that too.

The list

1. Promptwatch

Promptwatch is an EU company: Promptwatch B.V., Amsterdam, founded April 2025, with prices available in EUR. Country-level tracking is on every plan, so prompts can be measured for Germany, Austria or Switzerland, and state and city tracking start on Professional. It monitors the real interfaces of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral and Copilot, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.

What puts it first is the layer the regional trackers below do not publish. Agent Analytics shows which AI crawlers read your pages and where they fail. Visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions. Citation analytics goes to page, Reddit and YouTube level. Essential is $95 a month for 50 prompts, Professional $245 with 25M crawler logs. Our catalog does not document German-language prompt support for it, so test German prompts on the free Explore plan first.

2. Nennbar

Nennbar is the most DACH-specific tool here. LEA Software UG runs it on servers in Frankfurt am Main. It asks typical B2B buying questions in German, measured from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, and flags when models cite Wer liefert was, Kununu, North Data, Handelsblatt, Heise or German Wikipedia. It also checks whether you have a findable profile on wlw.de, kununu.com and northdata.de. Its score weights each engine by estimated reach in DACH.

Start is €39 a month (€32.50 annually) for 15 questions measured every two weeks on four engines. Pro at €89 covers 50 questions on all eight engines, weekly. A one-off check costs €29. The limit is cadence: the homepage says Pro updates daily, while llms.txt says each question runs once a week.

3. SISTRIX

SISTRIX is the reference SEO suite for German-speaking markets, and its Visibility Index is the KPI many DACH clients already report on. Its AI Overview Hub shows which keywords trigger AI Overviews, which URL is cited and where it sits inside the box, with full AI Overview text archived. Chatbot tracking is in beta.

Start costs €119 a month plus VAT, after a price rise in May 2026. The catch for AI work is that AI Overviews are not factored into the Visibility Index itself, so the headline number can stay flat while AI answers take clicks. Use it for Google's AI layer, not for ChatGPT or Perplexity, and pair it with a dedicated AI tracker.

4. Finseo

Finseo is a German company (Finseo GmbH, Gaildorf) that runs prompts daily across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and others, from different locations, so you can compare visibility country by country. It extracts the sources and products the engines cite and builds one-click reports. The Swiss agency winno, number 10 on this list, uses Finseo to measure its clients.

The limit is price transparency. Finseo does not publish plan prices, and pricing is demo-led. Our catalog does not document German-language prompts, crawler logs or conversion tracking for it. It suits European brands that need multi-market reporting and are comfortable with a sales process.

5. aivimo

aivimo is for the company that will not use SaaS at all. Activaria GmbH in Vienna sells it as a self-hosted monitor with a German interface and German-language prompt analysis. It sends your prompts to OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Google and xAI and stores every answer with provider, model, time and cost in a local SQL database, with an audit trail for prompt and config changes.

It is a perpetual licence: M is €4,500 plus €800 a year for maintenance, L €7,500, XL €9,000. No trial is mentioned, the site does not say whether API fees are included, and it queries provider APIs rather than the consumer apps.

6. CiteLyzer

CiteLyzer is a Polish tracker with German among its seven prompt languages and Austria, Germany and Switzerland among its 17 measurement countries. It runs daily on every plan and saves the full answer from ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, labeling each mention as recommended, mentioned without endorsement or advised against.

Mini costs €15 a month excl. VAT for one domain and 15 prompts. Pro at €129 adds Perplexity. The app and checkout are in English, there is no free trial, and it sells to businesses with a VAT ID only. Claude and Copilot are not offered.

7. Trackbase

Trackbase is built in the Netherlands and hosted in the EU, which matters to DACH buyers with strict data policies. It runs prompts daily on up to 11 models and adds crawler analytics for GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot through a Cloudflare Worker, Cloudflare Logpush or a WordPress plugin, plus ChatGPT Shopping tracking. Results filter by market and language.

Essential is 49 EUR a month for 10 prompts on three models. Professional is 199 EUR for 20 prompts on all 11. Its entry does not name German as a supported language. The bigger limit is volume: 20 prompts is a brand check, not a category program.

8. Rankscale

Rankscale is a Vienna-based GmbH and the cheapest way in this list to watch a long engine list: 17+ AI engines on every plan, from $20 a month for 120 credits. It pairs tracking with GEO site audits that score pages for machine readability and structure.

The trade-offs are credit math and stability. Credit burn varies roughly eightfold by engine, audit scores move between runs, and API and white-label access start at the $385 Growth plan. Our catalog does not document German-language prompts or DACH measurement locations, so check both during setup.

9. Truffle

Truffle earns a place for its pricing and coverage, not for anything DACH-specific. It charges the same figure in USD or EUR, excluding VAT, and runs six surfaces on every plan: ChatGPT, Claude Haiku, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews with the top 10 results, and Google AI Mode. Prompts refresh daily, AI Mode weekly.

Starter is $69 a month ($63 annually) for 2 brands and 25 prompts. Crawler logs appear from Standard at $189. Its entry documents no German-language prompts or country settings, so treat it as a general tracker that bills cleanly in euros.

10. winno

winno is the only agency on the list. winno GmbH in Männedorf near Zurich does web design, SEO and GEO for Swiss SMEs, in German, for German-speaking Switzerland and DACH. It builds GEO on existing SEO and measures clients with Finseo across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.

There is no rate card. GEO starts with a quoted audit, and winno says SEO and GEO together cost more than CHF 10,000 over the first 6 to 12 months. A free 25-question GEO test is available. It works in German only, and its +575% traffic graphic names no client.

Who should pick which

A German B2B company that sells through directories and trade portals should look at Nennbar first, because its source checks match how DACH buyers research suppliers. An SEO team whose clients already read SISTRIX reports should add the AI Overview Hub and accept that it only covers Google. A group with an on-premise rule has one real option here, aivimo, and should budget for API fees on top of the licence.

Freelancers adding AI visibility to a client report can start with CiteLyzer at €15. A Swiss SME that wants someone else to do the work can talk to winno, ideally while running its own measurement alongside.

Each leaves the same question open: why you are or aren't in the answer, and what it brought in. That is the gap Promptwatch fills. Crawler logs show whether ChatGPTBot or PerplexityBot read the page you rewrote. Citation analytics shows which page, Reddit thread or YouTube video the model used instead. Visitor analytics counts the AI-referred visits and conversions that follow. For a DACH program, start with Professional at $245 a month for 150 prompts, state and city tracking and 25M crawler logs, and keep a regional tool next to it if you need Nennbar's directory checks or SISTRIX's index.
