Amplitude AI Visibility review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #224ChatGPT and Google AI Overview tracking built into Amplitude's analytics platform, included on every plan including Free.
Our verdict
For a team that already lives in Amplitude, AI Visibility is an easy yes: it costs nothing extra and puts AI mentions next to the funnel and revenue reports. As a measurement program it is narrow. Two engines, unpublished prompt limits and refreshes that pause when nobody looks make it hard to run on its own. Note that the "Agent Analytics" on Amplitude's pricing page covers AI agents inside your own product, not AI crawlers on your site. Promptwatch fills that gap with Agent Analytics crawler logs and citation analytics down to Reddit and YouTube, alongside prompt volumes and difficulty scores.
Best for: Product and growth teams already on Amplitude that want AI visibility next to the funnels and revenue data they use every day.
Amplitude AI Visibility is the AI search module inside Amplitude, the product and web analytics platform. It reports a visibility score, share of voice and competitor rankings across a set of prompts, shows the sources LLMs cite, flags sentiment, and suggests page-level fixes such as clearer headings, shorter paragraphs and FAQ blocks. The difference from a standalone tracker is the rest of Amplitude: AI-referred visitors can be segmented in analytics, watched in Session Replay, tested with Web Experimentation and synced as cohorts. Amplitude's FAQ says it tracks ChatGPT and Google AI Overview only, and you cannot switch models.
Pricing read on amplitude.com/pricing, amplitude.com/ai-visibility and the AI Visibility FAQ in Amplitude's docs on 20 October 2026: AI Visibility is included on every Amplitude plan. Free costs nothing (2M events a month, no card), Plus starts at $0 and scales with event volume, and Growth and Enterprise are custom priced. Amplitude does not publish AI Visibility limits; the FAQ says prompt capacity, refresh cadence and some capabilities depend on your plan and account configuration. Non-customers can request a free, limited report.
Amplitude AI Visibility covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.
What Amplitude documents
amplitude.com/ai-visibility, amplitude.com/pricing and amplitude.com/docs/amplitude-ai/ai-visibility/faq (read 20 October 2026). The FAQ is unusually candid. It says prompts come from asking LLMs what is relevant to your brand, because OpenAI and Google do not share real search data. An identical prompt counts once across models. Referrals from LLMs are identified by referrer or utm_source, and Amplitude cannot see the prompt that sent a visitor, so it points you to entry pages instead.
Limits are the weak spot. The FAQ says capacity, cadence and some capabilities depend on plan and account configuration, and that AI Visibility will notify you when you hit your prompt capacity. None of those numbers appear on the pricing page.
Where it fits
The connection to the rest of Amplitude is the reason to use it. You can build a cohort of AI-sourced visitors, watch their sessions, run a web experiment on the pages they land on, and chart the path from AI mention to purchase through Amplitude's Global Agent or MCP. Standalone trackers rarely reach that far into behavior data.
The pages we read do not describe AI crawler logs, Reddit or YouTube citation views, or content publishing to a CMS. Amplitude also compares itself favorably with Profound, Evertune, Semrush and Ahrefs on its own FAQ; read that as vendor positioning.

What you still need after this product
On this listing, Amplitude AI Visibility is a SEO suite with AI tracking for Product and growth teams already on Amplitude that want AI visibility next to the funnels and revenue data they use every day. What we sourced here: Engines: ChatGPT and Google AI Overview, per the product FAQ and docs; Visibility score, share of voice and competitor rankings by prompt and topic; Prompt and source analysis showing which pages LLMs cite; Page-level recommendations and simulated content changes; AI-referred traffic tied to funnels, conversions and revenue in Amplitude Analytics.
If you buy Amplitude AI Visibility for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
Amplitude AI Visibility's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

How much does Amplitude AI Visibility cost?
It is included on every Amplitude plan, including the Free plan. Prompt capacity and refresh cadence depend on your plan and account configuration, and Amplitude does not publish those numbers.
Does Amplitude AI Visibility use real user prompts?
No. Amplitude's FAQ says the prompts are generated by asking LLMs what is relevant to your brand, because AI companies do not share real user queries.
Does Amplitude AI Visibility include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?
Not on the vendor materials used for this review. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits, plus crawl-to-citation paths and errors. Ask Amplitude AI Visibility to demo the equivalent.

This listing documents at least part of prompt intelligence (volume, difficulty, fan-outs, personas, or geo) for Amplitude AI Visibility.
Does Amplitude AI Visibility track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?
Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.
